Soldiers in Canada under disciplinary action for performing Nazi salute

In a shocking turn of events, at least seven active members of the Canadian Armed Forces have been suspended from their duties following a video that surfaced, showing them performing Nazi salutes. The video, shared by a member of the public, also depicts one individual performing military maneuvers in front of the Royal 22 Regiment flag.

The individuals in question have been suspended pending a unit-level disciplinary investigation, as stated by Lieutenant-General Michael Wright, Commander of the Canadian Armed Forces. Wright, in a firm stance, declared that hateful behaviors and extremism have no place in the military. He further emphasized that those who engage in such conduct will face consequences for their actions.

This unacceptable behavior has cast a shadow over the Canadian Armed Forces, as the military strives to uphold the values of respect, inclusivity, and diversity. Notably, Louis-Philippe Tessier and Maxime Denis, both members of the Canadian Armed Forces stationed at the Saint-Lin-Laurentides post in Lanaudière, are among those suspended.

Separately, Russia proposed a "new idea" regarding Ukraine during a meeting between the Russian foreign minister and his American counterpart in Malaysia. The details of this proposal and the outcome of Taylor Swift's long-standing legal battle, which has been ongoing for more than six years, are not specified in this report.

However, it's worth noting that Taylor Swift has won her legal battle. The details of her victory are not provided in the context of this article.

As the Canadian Armed Forces address this internal matter, they continue to serve our nation with honour and integrity. The incident has been referred to the Military Police for further investigation. The public is reminded that hate speech and extremism are unacceptable in any setting and have no place in our society.
